Our inspiring selection of music ranges from the raw sounds of the jungle to vibrant foot-tapping swing, from the darkest lament to the lavishly romantic, tailored to your needs.
The musical director, Michael Kilpatrick, has assembled an authentic repertoire evoking the Cotton Club days of Duke Ellington and his famous orchestra, featuring many rare composition as well as well-known Ellington classics. The orchestra has staged ambitious works such as the Ellington/Strayhorn suite "Such Sweet Thunder" ahead of the Shakespeare 400 celebrations, and The Nutcracker Suite, an Ellington/Strayhorn take on the Tchaivoksky Christmas favourite.
Harmony In Harlem can play anywhere in East Anglia, central England or the London area. The orchestra puts on regular concerts in Cambridge, Harlow and elsewhere in the East of England. Previous private engagementsfrom dances for the Cambridge Lindy Hoppers to a private party at the request of a Lord Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom.
